The Media and Information Literacy and Intercultural Dialogue Foundation (MILID Foundation) is set to partner with the National Library of Nigeria, FCT, to advance media and information literacy (MIL).

During a visit to the library on Wednesday, Chief Librarian, Folashade Adepoju, highlighted the importance of MIL while noting several areas of potential partnership with the foundation, including media and information literacy, climate/environmental literacy, health and political literacy.

“Our visit to the library and the proposed partnership is indeed a consequential part of our work and we are optimistic about how much we can achieve with this partnership,” said Chiamaka Okafor, Executive Director MILID Foundation.

Both parties agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen the partnership.

The foundation also donated books to the library.

MILID Foundation stands as a beacon in the realm of media and information literacy, advocating an inclusive and equitable world where every individual possesses the tools to navigate today’s digital landscape effectively.

Rooted in the belief that media and information literacy is essential for societal progress, the foundation tirelessly champions research, critical thinking, active participation, and informed decision-making.
