The Media and Information Literacy and Intercultural Dialogue Foundation (MILID Foundation) in collaboration with National Library of Nigeria, FCT Branch organised a May Day Media and Information Literary webinar for Nigerian workers.

The webinar themed MIL for Nigerian Workers in the era of Artificial Intelligence was organised to equip workers with MIL competencies especially with the increasing penetration of Artificial Intelligence globally.

More than 50 workers from across the country joined the interactive webinar which was headlined by Dr Fatima Abduldayan, a library and information science lecturer at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, and Dr Chido Onumah, a media and information literacy expert.

“Nigerian workers will not be left out of the effects AI has and will have on our lives,” said Chiamaka Okafor, the Foundation’s Executive Director.

Folashade Adepoju, Chief Librarian, National Library, FCT Branch, urged librarians to keep abreast of the impact of digital technoligy on their work.
